Sri Lanka’s Delmege Forsythe and Company Limited (Delmege), a company controlled by Dammika Perera has postponed plans to list itself on the Colombo Stock Exchange at least for another year, a top official of the firm said. The company had earlier announced plans to list by way of an introduction by February this year. Speaking to The Nation Gain, the Managing Director of the company, Asoka Bandara said, “We are very much confident of going public by around this time next year and are currently in the consolidation process of the group”. However he said that the company has not yet decided the amount of stake which would be divested or the pricing of the share offer which would indicate the money sought through the offering.
It is understood that upon Delmege being listed in the Colombo Stock Exchange, Royal Ceramics Lanka Plc will have an opportunity to book in a capital gain and exit from its 19% stake it currently holds.
