It's kind of funny, government trying various "tricks" to "fix" the market and nothing really works... Smile

They can manipulate media, do all sorts of corruptions, appoint all sorts of crooks to all sorts of authorities. But the only thing they can't "fix" is the stock exchange..., I find it very amusing Smile

how can a stock market index go up simply because someone is resigning....if individuals can do all why we need institutions....just by making one to resign the economy will not grow nor a company will increase its profits..but there will be a prolonged period to pick the right shares for foreingers and few brilliant locals...

I think the CB Governor learned his lesson when he tried to artificially control the exchange rate by selling dollars... he should have let the market determine the rate in the first place.

I think another lesson will be learnt, trying to artificially control the market is not going to work either. May be it has to be left on it's own... with only the most basic protections against manipulation. May be by trying to completely stop manipulation, SEC has in turn done its own manipulation... just a thought, I'm not an expert.

This did a lot of harm including depleting our foreign reserves which later resulted hasty repair actions. Hope he learnt his lesson but at whose cost. If I recall right Dr PBJ opposed this move.

i think people will expect more than short term profit taking. the sentiments should be continued for the rally to materialize, if this is not sustained then will come selling pressure,due to over expectation with disappointment.so we need to go with the flow and sky should be the limit. the incumbent head will not want to do anything bad....as the guy will know what is expected of him. Very Happy

In the long term cycle game changed long ago.Selling pressure dried out and buying interest increased.Usually when market is red like this,we see selling across the board.Now no panic selling.Turnover proves that.
