Dr. Nalaka Godahewa
DR Nalaka Godahewa is currently the Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau, Sri Lanka Institute of Tourism & Hotel Management and also Sri Lanka Convention Bureau. He is academically qualified in three different disciplines, namely Engineering, Marketing and Finance. He holds a B Sc honours degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, an MBA from the University of Sri Jayawardenapura and a PhD in Marketing from the University of South Australia. Dr Godahewa is also a Fellow Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) (UK) a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants (CIMA) UK and a Member of the Certified Management Accountants (Australia). Dr Godahewa has held several key positions in the private sector prior to his assignment with Sri Lanka Tourism as follows.
