I would not go with CTC and NEST at this time. They already had a big runs and now need to stabilize the price to match latest earnings. But both of them are very good multi national companies .

I hope you are "Investing" with patience and not seeking massive short term gains.
If so look at dividend paying reknowned comapnies that does not fluctuate that much with market volatility.
I am saying this for your safely as you are new comer. Playing with volatile share can make you earn or burn.

Some discussion to start with is here

Just don;t ask for suggestions from anybody and blindly buy before you do your own study .
People will tell what they believe in and sometimes shares they hold. Discusion are there about the suggested shares in the forum if you search. Have to say most shares mention so far are good companies. But don;t just buy before you know what you are buying.

New comers should not invest money at the moment. Save the money in a 3 month fixed deposit and re evaluate after 3 months

Some friends make Anti-market comments due to political reasons.
Most of companies making profit
General economic indicators also good
There are some governance
problems SUCH AS Appointment
of wrong people, Mismanagement,Corruption etc
BUT these problem was their from the beginning of Share Market in this country(from 1982 to date)
Anti-market guys also responsible for p reveling situation

My opinion -
Even companies make lot of profits, return has to be more than the interest earns from the bank(more than 15% or PE of 6.3 ). But still there is chance of earning money from selected companies in stock market but need to have a good playing skills. New comers can't do it.
