1.president wanted a vibrant capital market to reflect country's growth.
2.brokers(some),HINV(some) wanted less regulated market to play as they wish.
3.because of that to honest sec chairpersons had to leave the job.
4.they got more market friendly person to the hot seat(as they say it).
5.now we have less regulated market.

brokers and HNIVS got what they wanted but do we have vibrant market? is it a drama with no end or what president wanted is still to come?(most probably after the budget)

Almost all the companies listed in the market are going concern enterprises. This is addressed & asserted in audit report given by external auditors. Despite the global winds, country's growth is still at acceptable level which drive the operations towards companies target.

Controversial issues are mushrooming not only on capital market but in all segments in economy. Today market would have been on much higher status distributing the benefits fairly, if proper regulations had been placed at the inception with good governance & accountability.

Many discussions & critics currently going on will force the authorities to bring in better solutions to capital market that hopefully create credible investment environment for investors.....Time period for correction is unknown but good future is still visible..

I think that bill for acquisition of under performing entities by government had a bad impact on the market and needs a bit time to restore confidence in the minds of the investors.

Also I think we need big players paying in the market.Coz' they are the people who can turn the market direction. I have seen even many forum members criticize HINW's. People including me invest to make more money.HNWI's to make immense money. So no innocent people here.we have to make sure our-own protection.

IF president wants a vibrant capital market he should create Business Friendly environment in the ECONOMY
I. Action should be taken against all economic crimes without considering personal relationship Any average intelligent person can understand present Situation( Not only against C.J's HUSBAND)

2.Professional qualified persons who can understand stated objectives of Mahinda Chithana has to be given priority ( now important appointments are given only to relations and purely on personal connection. People who contributed for election and other FUNDS Some people hold more than one post
3.Action should be taken to build confidence of Real investors not crooks
Example for real investors DSI GROUP. FOOD CITY JOHN KEELS etc as far as i know
Every one know WHO ARE the leading CROOKS

I do agree with you 100% that's why I call it a drama. To see these changes in our country we do have to wait for some times. UNTIL that TIME we do need to find ways to deal with crooks and pure white politicians.
