Actually I was expecting over Rs 0.4. Hmm have to see the last quarter.

Maybe they will declare a script dividend after the land sale happens?

When they say First and Final dividend can they declare a script dividend separately?

Well i hope they will utilize the land sales to reduce the borrowing, so next year they can declare increase dividend!

They are going to receive 355 million from selling of part of the land, This will approximately equal to Rs. 0.50 EPS, so share holders might get a special cash/script dividend or they might go for settle down the loans. Which ever happens, GLAS is attractive more now, having additional qualifications to join the bull run in coming months Very Happy

They have declared the dividend for FY 2012/13. Land transaction will take place in 2013/14. So probably they will declare a special dividend in August or they will utilize it to reduce debt. Second option is more meaningful as currently their interest cost is 25 cts per share/per year. By selling the entire land at market prices they can set off about 75% of debt.

A mix of 50:50 (50% of proceeds to shareholders and 50% to company cash flow) would be ideal.

Bought it at 6 sometime ago.. anyways i feel there will be a drop in the market b4 it rises again.. i will be a bit cautious now..

I guess that is a decent dividend. my worry is i couldn't get enough shares around 6.2-6.3. I feel like even after the dividend it is good to be hold. any ideas?

I agree with u kalum,I bought GLASS last april,that price was RS 6.00,I am not selling that shares,My benefit is this year 6.33% ,they are giving same dividend every years,Between 0.30 to 0.40

Which is bothering saying that this year EPS is 0.76 and last quarter only around Rs 0.11. This is a terrible quarter if so as 2012 had massive exchange loss and in nothing changed much?

Ofcourse the other alternative is they have changed their dividend pay out policy to about 40%.

this could mean profits down marginally
looks the trends is reversing or CTC profits going to finally stagnant
this is not a growing business
very high valuation
should sell?

This is the final dividend for 2012 and with this it has declared 10/= dividend which approx 14% yield

Here public means something different.As I know this isn't liquid as you think.Remember went to 500+.Most shares are owned by island wide branches and as far as i know they are not in CDS accounts or tradable.High dividend is given to the benefit of the company itself.You can expect big number all the time.
