Why has that changed?
how is minority interest calculated?
In FLCH's cas, who is minority interest? (It cannot be Free Lanka Capital (Pvt) Ltd as they own more than 50%, so is it Browns Investments PLC / Perpetual Holdings Ltd?? if that the case that how can they be considered as minority interest, they do not have a significant amount of shares.)

This is about financial matters. The way you look is wrong. BIL, Perpetual , etc are major/Minor share holders of FLCH. They have no contribution with FLCH's profit attributed to minority holders. Let say FLCH bought controlling stake, say 60%, of Renuka holding then it can simply account RHL total TO. But when they calculate profit share, then can only account 60% of Renuka holding profit for EPS. SO rest 40% will go to other minority SHs who has share with RHL. This is the way its work...Hope this will make some sense...ccsentha wrote:slstock wrote:Look at the value attributable to "Equity Holders of the Company"ccsentha wrote:March profit - 397,253, EPS - 0.11

Minority interest isn't the minor share holders. It's a significant share holding with out controlling interest.
