Deshodaya Development Finance Company Limited (DDFC), a brainchild of the Sarvodaya Trust, is the newest entrant into the financial services sector.

Following approval by the Monetary Board of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka, Deshodaya Development Finance Company Limited launched its services to the nation at its City Office located at Nagarodaya, Danister De Silva Mawatha in Borella. Gracing the grand opening as Guest of Honour was Dr. A. T. Ariyaratne, Founder/President of Lanka Jathika Sarvodaya Shramadana Sangamaya (Inc.) who made the first deposit to declare open the company for business.
Simultaneously, 30 branch offices and 32 service centres were also declared open across the island to coincide with the opening of the City office in Colombo. The primary motive behind this historic opening across the company’s branch network is to ensure that all Sri Lankans are afforded the opportunity to avail of Deshodaya Development Finance Company Limited’s services.
The company’s diverse portfolio of financial products includes savings, fixed deposits, housing loans, microfinance, project finance and term loans, which the company aims to focus on helping uplift the standard of living and in the development of those in the agriculture sector, with the aim of raising those engaged in farming to their rightful place in society, and the company affirms its commitment to provide truly professional and friendly financial services to this segment of the economy.
