This unique event is organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing the national body of marketers of Sri Lanka, in association with The Nielsen Company, the largest marketing research company in the world. The SLIM-Nielsen People’s Choice Awards is selected based on the feedback and voting of a sample group of 5,050 individuals equally split between males and females within the age group of 16 to 65 years living in both urban and rural areas of Sri Lanka.
To ensure that the results represent the diverse population of Sri Lanka, the interviews are carried out in all the provinces.
SLIM (Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing) encompasses the national body for marketers in Sri Lanka, while the Nielsen Company, headquartered in New York, USA is the largest market research company in the world with a global presence exceeding 100 countries.
