Hi T20,

First of all I want to say, I'm not an expert and still I'm also new to this field/. I also having considerable stock from GRAN and i'm also expecting bull run of this share and BFL and TAFL.
According to the experts in this forum, some says this is not undervalued but most of them expecting bull run like me.. Wink

As we all know, today Chicken is cheapest from all meat products and all of the Sri Lankan except vegitarians eat Chicken. According to some experts post I read, that chicken demand is more than supply in Sri Lanka. Therefore, we have to expect bull run from this sector sooner than later.

I'm expecting GRAN price will come to at least for the last highest price (Rs. 265.00) but I'm not sure about this market yet. If you've money and can get more GRAN less than your last purchased price, you can come down with the average price and hope to get good profit as soon as expecting bull run comes.

In the same time, you can read past post of our experts about GRAN and other Poultry stocks to get an idea.

Happy Learning & Trading.....

don't worry friend as a new comer you can invest on this share. Presently it is much much uner value and have good potential. One thing you hv to keep in mind don't be panic and sell your shares when you see unrealized loss in your portfolio. Anyway it is unrealized once you sell only become relaiszed.
Before puting money into shares you should give up you Fix deposit mentality. In FD once you put your money always gain. even for short time you cannot see a loss. Hence low risk. But disadvantage is Low return maximun 8% per annum.

Here High risk , as well as high retun if you invest on long term. so if you hv a holding power you can get a better return in next months, years.

For a example I had TAFL when it is trading around 40/- ( that time Gran also @ lower rate but I couldn't remember because I didn't hv it at that time)I hold them for long term I knew the potential of it. I had to encash some money to put up my home so I sold them aroung 220/- so I got a good return. Only thing is you hv to paitent , do not follow the crowd and don't get panic when you see unrealised loss and sell your share @ a loss.

T20 other than what is mentioned in this thread please refer to below post also. I and many other discussed the potential ( some commented negatives) of this share. Myself and many others believe ( some responded here also) this is a good counter for the future. Please read the link so you can get additional info which will be useful for you.

I have been collecting GRAN throughout last week, I even bought at the bottom price last week which was 160 level. As I had enough GRAN, I started collecting TAFL as well when it went around 163 level. I intend to collect more GRAN and TAFL early next week as well. For me, this is the best sector to focus on in the coming days/weeks. Lets wait and see.

The others should not enter GRAN or TAFL just because few members in this forum are bullish on these stocks. Do your own analysis and take your own decision.

How confident are you that people in Sri Lanka avoid eating meat in the month of May? What will be the impact on the revenue of poultry sector companies if there is any decrease in the demand for chicken in May?

By the way, most of us are looking for the last quarter results (Jan-March 2011) which should be published soon along with the annual report up to March 2011. (this doesn't include month of May)

Also despite that the month of May occurs every year and this is not an unexpected situation for the stock market to respond as such. Isn't it? Rolling Eyes
