So what happen CIFL future?I think RS 0.40-0.60 good price to enter CIFL drama..
Yesterday,When price Rs 0.70, bid quantity was about 2million....Total bid quantity about 32 million, but
Total Offer quantity was about 150,000, But price wasn't moving up..It fixed around Rs 0.70

keeper what about TWOD can u predicted price .may be below .50 isnt it.

It's because the price ceiling. It climbed from 40 cents to 70 cts. About a 75% increase.

I don't think it will be possible buy @ 60 cts again. Last friday afternoon buyer remained @ 70 cts, but nobody wanted to sell meaning sellers are looking for a better price with the renewed buying interest and I think there are no big quantities to sell either.

On the fundamental side, company has cleared on hurdle. Now there are no fear of winding up of the company.

I agree with you hariesha...Yesterday CIFL was trading normally,I bought Rs 0.60 and 0.50,I think it will reach 1.00 rupee....How ever it has big risk..(when buy Rs 1.00),I think,if we can buy big quantity,When price moving up Rs 0.10 or Rs 0.20,we must sell quickly

Yes kasun.if price below Rs 0.50 well,but i don't think,never it reach 0.50,I can't tell any thing about TWOD price

The People’s Leasing & Finance PLC as the Managing Agent of Central Investments and Finance PLC (CIFL) has prepared a revival plan to rescue the ailing finance company with the approval of the Central Bank (CB) Monetary Board, Sanjeewa Bandaranayake, Deputy General Manager of PLC told the Business Times.

It has been suggested to the CB to find an investor to continue operations of the ailing finance company, he revealed.

The company has a deposit base of over 6000 who have invested a total of Rs. 3.4 billion. In a stock exchange filing, Lakshman Rupasinghe non-executive director of the company stated that the company is not in a position to make payments for depositors due to the restructuring process undertaken by PLC on the supervision of the CB’s Department of Supervision of Non-Bank Financial Institutions.

Earlier the CB appointed PLC as the new managing agent of the crisis-hit CIFL, after its new investors, the Maloney-led Touchwood Group failed to make a promised capital infusion of US$12 million on or before the stipulated date, a senior CB official said.
CIFL has been hit by a liquidity crisis where payments were delayed to depositors, and the CB after discussions agreed to the infusion of foreign cash by the owners of Touchwood (Maloney couple) and subsequent take over.

Touchwood also took over management of the company making major changes to the board of directors including a new chairman. The changes took effect from 2nd May.

Three new board members, Roscoe Malony, Swarna J. Maloney and Dulan Hettiarachchi were appointed to the board of the company. K.A.L. Rupasinghe resigned from his position as Chairman and was replaced by Mr. Malony.

H.M. Ekanayake, CB Director – Department of Supervision of Non-Bank Financial Institutions, told the Business Times that the present board of directors will remain as it is and they should take the responsibility of reviving the company.

In response to a question raised in parliament by parliamentarian Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Minister Dinesh Gunawardena said the Director Board had made irresponsible and reckless investments using people’s deposits.

“After the auditing is done, its findings will be submitted to the Central Bank. Based on the comprehensive on-site examination, information was provided to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) to take action against the culprits,” he said.

Guys,

Investment is simple. The ultimate success is how you make simple thing into so complicated way.

For CIFL, it had lost its value on customers' mind and its lost per qtr is more than qtr of its net asset value. Whoever come to restructure they need to gain customers' accreditation. Is it possible? If CB can change the game why they couldn't change for The finance?? Think in a rational way before invest. I always keep on saying, I am pretty sure no1 listen. Even I mention about their liquidity position when it was trading about Rs.3. According 75% up per day- that is unrealistic. If sum1 wanna buy that company they will collect slowly, not insanely. I like losers, but I don't like innocent losers...

I remember sum1 talked about TWOD NAV once he/she get caught in to the manipulation. Sometimes if you couldn't make profit from one drama just sell it and wait for other signal, don't be so greedy and let manipulator win the game...TWOD went from 0.9 to 2.1 in just 5 hours. How could it be?? Pure manipulation.
Being a loser in one game is inevitable, but being loser forever is your mistake...My next target is REEF.W. Just carefully doing mathematics for next big drama...

TWOD is at a two-way junction

Road number one: SEC finds that the company has problems and shuts it down = you lose money

Road number two: SEC allows it to commence trading because the rumors are not true (no problems with company) and the company is ok so it trades from Wednesday onwards = price will move up to 3-4 levels

I have NO idea what will happen so I dont make any recommendation at all!

In a country like Sri Lanka, Road number one is highly unlikely.
