Sri Lanka’s Laugfs Holdings PLC is planning to list 5 more of its group companies in the Colombo Stock Exchange.

This was revealed by the Chairman of Laugfs Holdings PLC, W.K.H Wegapitiya, while speaking at a forum organized by the Colombo Stock Exchange on Friday evening to attract more listings to the local bourse.

Laugfs Gas, a domestic gas supplier and a unit of Laugfs Holdings, founded by Wegapitiya, raised Rs. 2.5 billion by listing in the CSE a few years ago, thus marking the group’s entry to the world of IPO.

“During the past few years, we were enjoying the benefits of our first IPO”, added Wegapitiya.

“First listing was not accidental, it was well planned”, he said.

The Chairman of the Laugfs Gas Holdings also encouraged local entrepreneurs to follow on his footsteps to add further value to their companies.

“Listing was the most exciting thin happened to our company”, added Wegapitiya.

Laugfs Holdings has business interests in the areas of energy, hospitality, education, service and industrial sectors.
