It will be mid-June when it reaches 6500. But it should. Buy shares where good results are expected. Sell banking shares and buy LIOC, TKYO, HHL

Positive market momentum absorbing new investors depicts its directions with casual dips. Determination of index level & related time period may be varying with in & out of foreign traders' intervention. Also, correction of overbought & oversold situations are to be adjusted itself.

Above shares may perform well but index is not hitting 6700 because of that.

See the foreign inflow of yesterday . Due to JKH it is over one billion . Is not this a very good sign of marching our Market beyond 6500 ? . It looks foreigners are having a big confidence on our market . Indian factor too may affect us positively like . When Indian market BSE breaks 25000 mark and march towards 30,000 with influx of foreign funds into Indian market spill over from that market to CSE could happen . May be signs of that appearing with yesterday foreign buying .

However , if our political leaders could grab this opportunity and improve a very good relationship with our naghbour in respect of political , economic and other important aspects , CSE even could break 10,000 mark by the end of year .

If that doesn't materialize , growth of our market would not be that aggressive and India like surge of Stock Market would happen only after regime change for which signs are appearing . If we talk frankly , It is high time for it . In India it happened after 10 years which is a longer period for them and we are now 20 years and it is must . Arrival of business friendly corruption free government could witness an arrival of golden era for CSE . Let us wait for that .

How to improve relationship when the indian fishermen porching on a daily basis in our waters.mara will not do anything and our fishing folk should make satyagraha infront of jaffna Indian consular office to send a strong signal to the indian govt that tamilnadu politicos trying to drag the central govt I to the picture by not doing anything to prevent illegal porching.

My belief is ASPI will reach 9,000 in another 24 months. This is both supported by fundamental and technical analysis. Basis of above assumption is the declining interest rates. Low interest rates will improve future corporate profitability and will shift investors from debt to equity investments. Further low interest rates will fuel real estate prices, domestic investments and overall growth of the economy. Only thing Govt will have to control is the likely rise in the demand pull inflation and the Foreign Exchange rate. They have been quite successful.

Technical Analysts can have a look at the Elliot waves!

Remember we should not underestimate central bank governor in Sri-Lanka. They are creating low interest rate environment to accelerate investment. Times to come companies will have more options to raise their capital. Market goes up and down in stages. Once major up trend form there will be lot of opportunities. So stocks will adjust according to the market situation. Different stocks have different personalities.

Some stocks may be out of favour and must have stagnated now. Their personality will change when market form their major uptrend strongly. They will become break out stocks. I believe some stocks have formed their intermediate uptrend now. If market maintain major up trend they can break their all time high due to their growth higher earnings in the coming quarters and years. If we can identify major uptrend we should not forget any sector. Because all sectors will have uptrend.

There is no argument about positive steps taken by the Governor of CBSL which have contributed to

* Reduction of interest rates to multi year low
* Maintaining Rupee value at a stable level benefiting exporter as well as FOREX mkt
* Maintaining Inflation to record low
* Maintaining GDP growth above 7 %
* Maintaining and improving our foreign reserve level above 8 billion USD

Improvement of the above factors have mainly contributed to the present status of the Stock Market and Further improvement of said macro economic factors would make CSE more attractive .

However , one thing we should not forget is despite all very positive developments why private sector credit is not growing as expected . There are certain factors which are seriously affecting the business confidence of the country . Even though we make a rosy picture of our development and growth if private sector does not make new investments and they postpone their development ventures that we may need to think seriously . Coupled with above developments private sector credit growth too improved substantially that would have reflected in the CSE much better than this . Anyhow , we assume in time to come there would be an improvement of this as well .
