My Share Portfolio

Above statement is after the Divestment of REXP@ 100/= and part of KAPI @ 51/=.from which I earned Rs 160,000/= realized profits. By today (3rd September 2014) my portfolio unrealized gains have increased to about Rs 348,000/=. This gives me a total profit of Rs 508,000/-.My initial investment was exactly Rs 1mn. Balance is funded through margin trading facility. Therefore year todate my total portfolio gain is around 51% within 9 months. Not a bad start for the annual 2 year target of 40% per annum.

Expo if it touches last high would be ok, but current valuation wise below 9 is safe to enter ... a longterm good hold imho.

I think shadow walker mistakenly put a zero at the end of 15, I think price is 15:)

No way to go to 100 for sure. 15 is possible.

machan, well done you have got profits!  buy some LIOC  and good banks

you have gain only 10% profit. its not enough when the bull is active.
aim for at least 20-30%.

Btw, is your margin provider your stock broker itself? Did they give you 1.7 million credit over Rs 1 mil cash. That over 150% credit right.
If you can reveal who I would be happy to know as I like to try them to. It might help all of us. thanks.

wow great. to use this software we need to 1 Million LKR right. then with 1 Million is it possible to buy 10Mn worth share. through software buy and sell yourself right. so this mean with 1Mn Lkr within 9 months you earn half million profit right.wow great.

Thanks for the broker. So it is special arrangement  we cannot get. Usually max margin given is about 50% and maybe 100% with certain parties ( we hear CT give 100% or more during certain times) . Your credit  is just wow .  If they give without even  security of an equity is it not margin even right?  Its just like a special gift  for you   .  So people like us cannot get such for sure.    

I think we are looking at   profit gains  differently.

How I see it is though your original cash is Rs 1 million  the  majority of the  balance  is money you owe your broker ( credit or margin or whatever ) when you sell you portfolio.

So the portfolio performance =      overall profit gain   /   (  initial cash + broker credit you owe + interest paid to broker )

Overall profit gain  = cash realized + unrealized capital gain



TWOD should be written off , but  it should be no problem as it is very small.  Have you looked at LALU instead of ALUM.

What kolaveri ? We are discussing about common people like us getting credit, various ways of calculating portfolio gains etc.

So far SStar portfolio is performing okay I think.
