why? any reason for it?

nothing so far shining in my PF other than TPL,KOTA & AGAL

Having the only Salt refining plant in Sri Lanka using Krebs Swiss Salex Technology, Wayamba Salterns is geared to meet Table Salt needs of the country when adequate raw material - Crystal Salt is available.

The Kingdom of Raigam will complete the construction of its Rs. 1 b saltern in Kuchaveli next year, Raigam Group Chairman Dr. Ravi Liyanage said at the launch of its rice noodles Devani Batha on Wednesday. He said that around 60 percent of the work on the project has been completed and added that the saltern will be commissioned as scheduled in 2014.

Work on the 1,800-acre saltern in the East commenced in 2011 to provide jobs to over 1,500 people in the area. “Constructing a saltern is a cumbersome process. The inclement weather during the past two months hindered work on the project,” Dr. Liyanage said.

Sri Lanka yet imports a substantial quantity of salt a year draining out foreign exchange from the country. Raigam re-awakened the salt industry in Sri Lanka by setting up salterns in Hambantota and Puttalam which helped reduce the import of salt to around 7,000 mt in 2011.

The country's annual requirement of salt is around 50,000 mt.

“We are confident that Sri Lanka will be able to export salt in the near future,” Dr. Liyanage said.

Raigam launched the manufacture of rice noodles at its plant in Homagama with an investment of Rs. 300 m to change the consumption pattern in Sri Lanka. The state-of-the-art factory has a capacity to manufacture 5,000 mt of noodles a year and double the capacity next year.

Devani Batha was introduced to the market in three flavours white, rose and red kekulu flour. Sri Lanka's current rice production is about 4.8 million mt a year and the industry sustains around 880,000 farmer families.

Dr. Liyanage said that by consuming rice-based products the country could save a staggering amount of foreign exchange on import of wheat flour each year. By consuming rice-flour noodles instead of wheat-flour noodles the country could save around Rs. 925 million a year on import of wheat flour.

“Sri Lanka takes pride in being self-sufficient in rice but the irony is that it still imports a large quantity of wheat flour spending a colossal sum each year. Promoting the consumption of rice and rice-based products should take place at grass-roots level,” Dr. Liyanage said.

Sri Lanka spend around 20 percent of its foreign exchange on import of food. Milk powder, sugar, canned fish and dry fish is yet imported in large quantities.

look at the story above. it is RWSL or Kingdom of Raigam. Listed company is RWSL

Is this a listed company investment or a private company investment?

listed company is small - has no capacity such investment
It has total of 875 million in total assets

Yes that's what I was thinking

The salterns require near drought like conditions with low tidal activity. Not many places around here. Good luck to them if they can pull it off

Is it time to enter RWSL?

i think just one director a lot or two 20cents above....
is there any real reason behind it?????

When penny's go one by one everyone will join, RWSL waits then what happens market falls so as penny's,so RWSL remains same.
Conclusion: I think there's no active player behind this.

Again you do not know what you are writing. pls see below from dec10 to dec13 low and high prices. People whole bought at ipos would have already made their buck.

I thought you know nothing about this company, and asking advise from forum people to buy or not, that is why I replied in negative way..seems to me you have a good idea about RWSL, so you are in a position to advise others to buy or not.

Hani, first you start a thread and ask whether its time to enter? So u wanted the opinion of the forum.. Then u go on and tell us how great the share is by looking at director buying when it has also been inconsistent.
Looking at Director dealings, after June 2012, in Feb 2013, another bought in could be seen.. So its infrequent.

EPS is on a declining trend, NAV 2.9 but No dividends after 2011.
EPF Holds 9.9% (28.1 Mil) shares.
Div yield(5 year avg) - 0.52%

We can see earning improved in 2013 but when EPS is considere, where's the growth? This is worth for the NAV but not much growth as expected considering the last 5 years..

RWSL is one of my base shares as well. I'm not sure if im in correct view, but not only directors collecting it. It's been collected by someone/group time to time.
may be not collected. may be it's traded.
It is a one share that has potential to gave the effect what SEMB did recently. it is worth per nav/eps basics. current prices are encouraging. but yes, its improvement is not satisfied. EPS hopes good return in future, so do I. malan, it's ipo price is 2.50 as i rem, I have invested in the IPO and it was a one good IPO at that time. just my view.

Now Rwsl has completed their new slatterns. When out put increases so as sales and profit. Yes, chairman last bought in June 12 then price was 2/20 and later it was shot up to 3/70.Now he is buying again and there is a opportunity price to move higher. Pls see below how weekly closing prices have slither higher for last 14 few weeks. There are 290 listed companies ,you may buy any. But important is how much you can make .

EPS declining during the last three years....
in my memory this counter loitering around 2.10-2.4
without even notice...!

Exactly.. how much ur expecting? Cuz those price changes from 2 - 2.50 doesnt say anything... If we see this collected between the same range for another few wks, we can some action is about to happen.

Historically, Stochastic chart  shown when this share reaches 80 mark, there goes a price fall...

I feel this is better to catch either if this breaks 2.60 or when stochastic fall to 20s.

Also, you can be the greater fool following the director.. Who knows he may be thinking of taking this to 4 again..
