Extracts from Chairman's message in the Annual report:

" Since 1996 the Company has been dormant, when its factory had to be closed down due to a Court Order. For the next 15 years, the only major income of the Company had been the income received from renting the warehouse".

" As at 31st March 2013, there were seven cases which had been
filed against the Company by M/s Penpals Ltd, a shareholder
of the Company, pending before the courts. Penpals Ltd was
seeking by these cases inter alia to challenge the rights issue
of the Company that was held in August 2011. Subsequent
to the balance sheet date, the shareholder had sold its entire
shareholding in the Company. As a result, all of the above
cases were withdrawn by the shareholder, by 10th May 2013.
Following the withdrawal of these cases, there is currently no
pending litigation to which the Company is a party".

If you have a small investment (less than 2000 shares) it may not matter to anyone who will push the price.

Now they are doing very well and making huge profits last year and this year.

Chairman's message in the Annual report:

Consequent to the successful rights issue in September 2011
and in line with its objectives, the Company continued to
make selected investments in listed and unlisted companies
primarily in the manufacturing and chemical industries,
generating dividend and trading revenue to the Company. Part
of the proceeds of the Rights Issue was invested in the stock
market, in traded securities. The Company has a 50% stake of
Standard Paints Ltd. (formerly Standard Chemical Industries
(Pvt.) Ltd (SPPL)), which it acquired in January 2012. The main
business of SPPL is manufacturing of paints and wood care
products, under the trade mark “Jemax”. The Jemax brand has
been in the market for over 10 years and has gained substantial
goodwill, and formerly belonged to Jemax Chemicals (Pvt)
Ltd, and was purchased by SPPL , together with the assets
of the business, in January 2012. SPPL’s factory is situated at
Molligoda, Wadduwa.

If others have a handful, anything can happen - as the manipulation will benefit the bigger shareholders. Already price have moved to the share portfolio value. Big shareholders can manipulate the price and later trap you.

As Rapa also indicated, DON'T buy big quantities. Even 500 shares at these prices is too much. Think about selling illiquids at prices it doesn't deserve (not prices it will run on thin trade).

Share portfolio gain is there, but look at the number of shares they own of those companies and the total shares in issue. Actual gain is that - based on last valuation of those shares (NOT COST).

Their businesses have not made profits but big losses to date.

Their portfolio can't have been valued at cost. So what Gainer has mentioned as cost values in the initial post is not important information - actually is to fool and trap an innocent person.

Take note of the people promoting this share as they are fulfilling another person's agenda. I have done my part. If you still fall, it's your decision and you are totally entitled for it.

Good luck!

Yes. I have seen you have tried very hard.

SING - By nature this is a speculative counter. What is inside the company has be described & criticised in the above posts. One thing we can't give much weightage for unrealised gains until they realised in cash.

But based on that portfolio people can speculate. Thus this kind of a share can be easily manipulated. So if you really want to buy get in at very low @ smaller scale 65-70 fine. But note you are heavily depending on some group for the share price appreciation rather than the general market demand.

And also as this stock is a very liquid share you should have patients. I know people now looking at SING due to the appreciation of IDL. If something similar happens good. If not ???????????

And note 2nd QTR results pending & 1st QTR results are no where to be seen (This co is under default beard)

And also high risk high return
high risk high possibility of losses too.

So consider all of the above & make your decision.

thank you.

In 31.03 quarter results, they mentioned Mr. K.C as Independent Director, he hold more than 5% shares on his own name???

Also he is worried about other companies failure on the corporate governance issues, however this company still not issued its 30.06 quarter results yet.
