Has any one got any idea about CIFL? What will happen to it? There seems to be no noise on financial sector consolidation plan?

Really sorry to say no way at all. See mr. kothalawala has to pay around 45,000 million. But government is doing nothing. The same fate to these companies too.they just tells restructuring plans but nothing in action. No funds allocated. Just saying.

Under financial consolidation plan there was an idea for consolidation. Earlier central bank said they were in the process of finding an investor .The stance of the new government has not expressed yet.
Possibilities.
Finding an investor and restructuring the company.
Liquidate the company and pay the depositors up to a certain percentage of the original deposit.
But there was a court order against this.
Assigning of management by the government and manage with fresh capital infused by the government.

Certainly no government will allow it to be liquadated, as it would be a bad name for them, specially when there is an election round the corner

This is just my thought, because public confidence is a big factor in financial sector, so no one wouldn't let that go down, isn't it?

but it would be a big negative point for central bank, so wouldn't they work their socks off to get it back up and running once again?

Following the path of TWOD towards the cemetry.

Central Bank will put them under another financial institution but by the time the share price will be nothing.
