serve us???
if u r one of them (Rajapakses & co), the quote "serve us" is correct.
he will serve u with posts like ambassadors, board chairman, governor, even ministers etc...
he will serve u with liquor licenses, companies like CSN, Apollo, .......
you can sit for an exam in a AC room with internet and books
you can do rape, robbery, drug trafficking, and even murders without getting caught.
If u r not one of them, then the story is different, just remind the cases of Sarath Fonseka, Lasantha, Waseem, Baratha laxman, white vans etc...
oh, forgotten, he will serve the country with extravagance projects like Metro-rail in Hambantota, port in Kurunegala, an Olympic stadium in Moneragala etc... (they are economical geniuses na)

Unfortunately we still have some mind freaks who can be fooled all the time. There are some Academics, Professionals, Business man who got personal favors and has to stay loyal to Rajapaksa's for the fear of loosing their new found gains. They are out to mislead the people and this is something that has to be countered by others. I hope the UPFA will loose to such an extent that all the murderers, crooks, drug peddlers and the anti social elements are sent o prison instead of parliament.

The Party System Politics has destroyed the wealth of our country. The Constitutional Council System is more suitable to us. If a Multi Party (national) stable government to be formed with a Constitutional Council in the next Parliament, that would be good to CSE. Because that type of government will attract the foreigners, the NFI will rise up. Domestic Trade also will develop. Because of that the ASPI will increase to 8000-8500 levels.bandara 123 wrote:Yes VP.
It is a simple excersie. If you have any sort of political knowledge without bias to any side will know definetely this time it is a multy party Govt WIL COME to power.
This system is really good for a developing country like SL where still most of the people gave unwanted place to politics in their day to day life.

This time my friend, you will definitely see it this time.
Even with same result for MR as previous election, which was 5,768,090 MR leading UPFA can win majority seats in the parliament.
MY3s 6,217,162 is divided between UNP, JVP, TNA, SF etc
So they don't get the benefit of wining the bonus seat as well.
People in this country still love MR as he was the only president who wanted to defeat terrorism and brought peace to this nation.
Moreover they did not prove any allegations against him. More importantly the allegation about military take over. If it was true they would have prove it by now, they could not prove it as it was just a pure myth which they use to take away the credibility from MR when he peacefully and democratically step down from power. He proved that he was not a dictator and UNP was at shock to see this.
People in this country are not fools to believe in every lie they say. [ now our Yahapalana boys can happily watch the actions of a real dictator or Dick-traitor appointing and removing officials , obtaining midnight court verdicts , doing all sort of third class gimmicks just before the D-day , how nice ! ]
Main problem normal people had with MR government was not corruptions, it was just that they did not care about middle to poor class people that much, namely Basil was mostly responsible for that.
[Absolutely correct. They should know that ordinary people cannot understand the difference between infrastructure development and welfare expenditure. No one gives money for welfare projects so that we have to satisfy with internal funding but outsiders offer big loans for infrastructure development like harbours , highways , airports etc. Even today someone who talked with me said ඉස්පිරිතාලෙ ඇඳන් නෑ. බෙහෙත් නෑ . මහින්දයා පාරවල් වරායවල් හැදුව බිලියන් ගනන් වැය කරල. ]
This time they have address that issue. When it comes to political promises MR has the upper hand compared to RW. Been a war hero in middle to poor class peoples mind, they would rather take MRs promises than RWs promises.
We will all see this result by 18th.
This is what Gammanpilla forecast. He is a Software Engineer from Monash university Aus, a Lawyer and has 1988 A/L all Island best result in commerce. So he is someone who's word has some credibility.
