Following are yesterday's statistics from the trading floor of the CSE:
ASPI: 7,066.19 (+39.19 pts; +0.56%); Val T/O: Rs. 833mn (US$6.22mn); Vol T/O: 15.9mn; Trades:5,323
Advance/decline ratio: 135/55; Top gainer: PARA.N (+16.28%); Top loser: CLPL.W (-20.00%)
Highlights:

• The ASPI recorded gains amid improved turnover levels. Buying interest was seen selected banking, diversified, chemicals & pharmaceuticals and manufacturing counters with crossings on NEST, NTB, and COMB, amounting to 30% of market turnover.



• Banks, Finance & Insurance was the most actively traded sector (+1.02%)


• Trading was the best performing sector (+1.48%), supported by gains on GREG (+0.78%)


• Plantations was the worst performing sector (-0.77%), dragged down by a decline in KGAL (-2.28%).
