In the above group which one has more potential?

Do you think PLC will come down to Rs.18/19?
Do you think PMB will come down to Rs.15/16?
Do you think PIN will come down to Rs.12/13?
Which one will go up next week?

Which one will stay as a rock and appreciate thereafter rapidly?

Appreciate any thoughts.

I am surprised why Entrust management was not handed over to Peoples Bank conglomerate instead of NSB. These 3 companies remain the only listed entries under People Bank. Overall banking sector is down hence all valuations have to be readjusted. Average price for all 3 shares based on current valuation is more than 20/=. I have all 3 in reasonablr quantity which, I am hold as a long term investment coz it represent only 3% of my portfolio of investments.

NSB is also a good bank. They also have much improved computerized banking system now. Their service also has improved lot. It is one of the safest places to open saving accounts. Management is conservative and our money will be safe there.

It is good to see NSB is expanding to other areas beyond basic banking.

NSB is only the bank which is responsible to give back our deposit by act. Even other government bank may avoid pay back customer deposit in case of any crisis or disaster.

Suddenly, New sister in the group PINS has become more active than other two. Any reason for it?

It is always better to target stocks when they are inactive and when others try to sell in panic to minimize our risks.

I believe more stocks will become active gradually.

read this.. you will understand reason behind this upward trend..

..................................

While inaugurating the secondary market transactions of People’s Insurance Company today (12 January), its Managina Director D.P. Kumarage announced that the company would offer 50 per cent of its profits as dividends while responding to a query by Ada Derana Biz.
While adding further, Kumarage said, “We wanted to list this company. The share market fluctuates from time to time. This is not a very good time for the market. So we were not so keen on this. We only wanted to list the company.”
Meanwhile, People’s Insurance Managing Director D.P. Kumarage also added that a decision has been taken to offer 50 per cent of the company’s profits as dividends and that if this could be done with this year’s profits the shareholders could gain around 8.5 to 9 per cent as profits.
He gave a parting advice that when deciding to invest, what has to be considered is not short-term but long-term opportunities.

PLC_

*75% stake in PINS - Probably the front runner for restructuring , since foreign interest is already there $$$
*Government entities hold 86 % on PLC. BV of PLC is above 20, any transaction should happen around that level or beyond.

With the interest of Canadian investment , Pins will be the first one to go.

Further price has crashed from 50 to 19 in no time,

I don’t believe Net Assets will be an accurate method for valuation specifically for PINS ,Since their higher dividend policy.
For the last two years they have paid R/s 5.50 as dividends(last 5 years r/s  10+).

Fair enough .

When Allianz acquired Janashakthi ,the consideration was of 2.2x JGIL’s net asset value in 2017.

https://www.dailynews.lk/2018/02/05/business/141878/allianz-acquire-janashakthi-general-insurance

PINS valuation based on above transaction,
Rs 52.70. (23.95 * 2.2)

*The profitability of PINS is much higher than Janashakthi General at that time , hence valuation will be much higher than the above transaction. :fingers_crossed:
