This is my personal idea. I think this up trend is not a sustainable one. Next week is the margin call week. I think yesterday and today god gave us a chance to win if we wise. Some time I may be wrong. But I think so. Some of my counters sold today (30 percent of my PP sold). Thanks my friends. What is your idea about the next week?

Is green light not yet given for port city project? Apparently prime minister had made a firm declaration at world economic forum in Davos, Switzerland. Please correct me If I am wrong. Thx.

As far as i know govt will give green light to Port City

Anyway it is not the main reason for market down fall

Main factors were international market condition and economic mismanagement due to some proposals of Ravi K budgets

Now Average intelligent and reasonable people know Prime minister is making genuine

effort for economic development. Most of people will under stand this gradually

Market also will go up gradually with under standing of the people

Upto now (for last one year)they promise like this, in media discussions , forums and business events.But hardly materialized.Sometimes these are media shows.That is why lot of investors are sidelined

My opinions on market down are

1) budget proposal.... Specially super gain tax which affects cash flow and net asset value per share.

2) rising interest rates .... Investors are moving to safer option locally and internationally.

3) devaluation of rupees against US Dollar which affects specially foreign investors and Srilanka's imports. Also Balance of payment issue.

4) economic downturn in China. This will affect every countries in the world atleast because its import and export are reaching all over the world directly or indirectly. So our exports will be struggling fo sure at some point.

5)confidence is going down with the new government who are still unable to bring forward of corruption and forgery etc....which is the worst ever of country's history.

6) If US increase the interest rates in the future then we can expect another heavy losses in the market. Interest rate hike is unlikely due to current world market conditions as I believe.

7) many more to write.......

People are simply telling that we have nothing to do with other markets in Asia or elsewhere. Also they are saying when other market is down we are also down and we are still down even when they are up. There are many factors to consider.......

Don't forget that stock brokers are not encouraging or offering or reducing heavily margin investments and they feel that the market is not going to be steady for considerable period and they are prepared to take any risk also force selling to clear their margin accounts balance in the future. hope you all understand the impact on the market and the real reason why they behave like this.

i am not sure about Monday. but after policy rates announcement (I think not change) market will be green for few days.

Have you sold CFVF too??

Yes Equitychamp I sold all my CFVF. Bought at 17.60, and sold them at 20.60. 3/- is enough for me. I am sure I ll be able to get them at lower price than 20/- in this month. Thanks in advance. Too much greedy is my practice early days. I practice that" buy the others sell and sell others when buy" Let's see what will happen.

ASI 6382 level ......jkh .n still 158 level it should adjust 170 level next week
dialog also still 10 level it should up 10.50 -10.80 level next week
chicken stock up bez of good EPS

Volatile swings to be expected. Many are waiting for company's financial results. I believe many would enter for market trading by mid of February as insider information is available for the quarter just ended.

Market should come and stabilize around 6500 this week despite sideways movement. February will decide the next move depending on quarter results , dividend announcements and progress of actions taken by government to create a macro economic stability. Lets keep the eyes open . Sudden slump in prices can give you good trading opportunities on very short-term basis. GL

Companies are doing good with super results for BFL, LFIN more to expect. But some people expect shares to drop further. Is this their greediness?
