Change the change doesnt help as the damage is already done, opposition is just a dark cloud and no hope of a silverline. Whats ideal is to reshuffle the cabinet and give positions to the deserved folks, that will give some hope

They are the people who managed the country during war and post war development period, balancing income and outflow.
Dr PB Jayasundara and the team did it very well than present fools.

They knew very well to link the best external resources.

Current team hurriedly cut China believing Western friends. What happened ?

Anybody should know the policy of USA and the gang including In dia is different to that of China and Russia.

US A and In dia will never allow us to bypass a certain limit of development. Their policy worldwide is keeping nations to manageable states.

It was Russia and China gave us value in the past. ( and also Japan)

When we were struggling in past it was China came to rescue( without any ugly agendas like In dia and U SA have)

Rubber-Rice Pact between Sri Lanka (then Ceylon) and the People’s Republic of China was signed on December 18, 1952

In the early 50’s, there was a world shortage of rice which created a sharp increase in the international market price. That was a period when the Government of Sri Lanka was committed to provide two measures of rice per week to every person, at a subsidized price. During the same period the international demand for natural rubber decreased due to the introduction of synthetic rubber as a substitute, which resulted in lowering the price of the natural rubber, on which export the Sri Lankan economy depended. Thus, Sri Lanka had to face a severe economic crisis.

No one helped us.
Though this was a period when Sri Lanka was politically favouring the western countries, the prevailing local conditions made the Sri Lanka government to take a bold decision to sign the proposed barter agreement. And the “Ceylon - China Rubber - Rice Pact” was signed between the two countries on December 18, 1952, in Peking, China.
Sri Lanka has benefitted by supplying the rubber at a higher price than the international price prevailing at the time, and China supplying the rice at a price lower than the world market price.

We should be grateful to China because they never tried to bargain on prices or tried to exploit the market to their advantage. China continued to purchase Sri Lanka’s rubber at a higher price, even when other producers were prepared to sell them rubber at lower prices. During the early period of the Rubber – Rice Pact, China even assisted Sri Lanka to replant the uneconomical rubber plantations, by granting around Rupees 125 Million to cover a part of the cost.

Hence our leaders should know who are our real friends.

The current donkeys did the opposite of what we should do and put everybody in trouble.

Dr. PBJ and others in previous govt identified the best strategy and they managed the economy intelligently with less trouble than now.

By the way , removing RK is not that easy. Even RW is reluctant due to internally valid reasons .

As per disclosures made by many key figures , RK was 'a' mastermind and key player in Jan 8 rebellion, he was the man who took big risks and released lot of private funds in millions until they secured other internal and external sources. He is still much powerful than we think.
