There's no source for this news cause abolishing CGT won't happen. Govt CB is in need of IMF money so inorder to get that we need to expand our tax revenue.

what I can see is share transaction levy might be reintroduced n CGT will be exempted towards equity transactions. this is best case scenario I can see happening.

I'm sorry, removal CGT is not a market mover towards 7000s.

Introducing CGT will not bring CES to 5000 either.

At the beginning of a bull run, it will behave like an obstacle to going up.
But, in a real bull run nobody will remember about CGT.

BTW, Expected tax revenue from this will be a dream at least for this year.

Many more crisis yet to come. Most of the retailers struct in high prices. We can't expect much fresh investment at the moment for stocks. No need to hurry for buying.

Finance industry hugely welcomes removal of share transaction levy

How about reintroduction of share transaction levy? It is a direct tax and process is very simple, nobody can escape irrespective of market participants make profit and losses. In developed world they have tax rates to tax employees (according to the income level)then and there irrespective of they work in the government sector or private sector. Ideas are welcome.

Yes, that is the simple answer.

Somehow,
