Sri Lanka is ranked among Asia Pacific’s top 10 foreign direct investment (FDI) hotspots, according to a study by US-based global information company IHS Inc.

The other Asia Pacific FDI hotspots are China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Myanmar, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

this is great news but now i wish they will act on these. Up to now USA and EURO is saying we're progressing well but still no support still whatsoever in financial terms. China is delivering by investing in our country. Its time for US govt act on there words and reports and support towards our country development.

Yesterday's Foreign Net Purchase amounted to 178 Million Rupees.

Inflow of few hundred millions will make no effect.

The problem is within us and not from outside. It started when the gonpalanayas without using their peanut brains promised unrealistic salary increase of Rs.10,000 for 1.4 million state workers just to fool them and grab power.

Now only they realised the hole they dug in.

The country need additional 168,000 million rupees per annum or 14,000 million per one month to pay this.

This will create unending money printing and rate increase.

No one from outside will give money to pay salaries.
Each and every foreign funded project need 15% local component to pay salaries , taxes and other local expenditure. Hence even when huge Chinese projects started we have to find money to pay salaries , OT , Bata for the local people working in those project offices.
