As per given link a 1000 kg (tonne)of palm oil is 2550 Ringgit and may go down further.

2550 MYR = 92500 LKR

1 litre of palm oil= SL Rs. 92.50
Export price of oil in 750ml bottle = Rs. 70.00

1. Oil Plam price going down.
2. Tea Price going Down
3. Rubber prices are well below the COP of all the plantations.
4. Wages of the Estates workers going to increase...

So what will happen to the listed Plantation PLC 's. At the moment only the few plantations are making profits specially those who have Oil Palm. But When Oil Palm also going down can they sustain in the industry.

I believe it is better to identify the most sinking Plantations and avoid as much.

Although two types of 'oil' is totally different,

Palm oil prices are proportionately linked to Petroleum prices

Same for the rubber

2-3 years ago a hedge fund and a pension fund invested big money to install petrol making factory using palm oil and ethanol as raw material.

No need to say the current value of the investment .
