IMF loan came, ADB loan pending, BOP deficit reducing, LKR strengthning against the green back, interest rates to head southwards, all listed companies increased the profits by 16% in the last quarter. Then what should be the market reaction and what is the actual reaction?

Can anyone see something funny here?

no confidence in the market...
people were hurt too much before that they are too scared to go beyond a certain price for any share.
they will put low buys, dragging the markets low,
then panic hits and chain reaction happens.
unless someone starts pushing the ASI high , there will be daily sliding down further...

Mr Market is waiting for the right time to wake up. Other thing is we have to study the crowd behaviour as well. Then we can get idea about when to become bullish or bearish in the short run. In addition, market has very long term life time. As long as we see the capital system we can have some faith on the capital market. (End of the capital system means collapse of financial system including capital market).

There are opportunities in all types of market situation.

The good news there has been a net foreign inflow of Rs178Mn today.
PM is not too happy with the business community as some industry bigwigs have been critical of the Central bank Governor.
