What is you view on PCH uptrend, will it continue ?

I entered into this share nearly after 5 to 6 months. Those days i brought it for 14 - 15 LKR and sold at 29 LKR. Few days back i entered again at 18.40 LKR based on technical analysis.

correct price you entered,it was oversold at that price after XD....it swings in most of the times,volumes are not bad,but problem is market condition...

Thats true mark.
Its always red monday and green friday.
Did you notice that today PCH showed a high volume. 6th highest traded counter. Cash map shows more buying than selling 60%.
But can hardly trust these TA these days,

PCH was out of favor for a long time, and still is for many. Their Q1 financials were not up to expectation either. There have been numerous discussions about it in this forum over the past months. Today PCH had a lot of movement, in fact the past 4 days saw considerable trading going on.

Rumor has it that PCH will make an announcement next week, and that this increased volume is a result of speculative buying. Fundamentals don't apply here I think, but maybe technical analysis (as chamith wrote) can shed some more light on it.

agree,not hardly,actually cannot trust completely Evil or Very Mad

its hard to identify the crowd behavior in fear and greed,but i personally believe selling pressure will drag the counter down in next week....but counter is favorite of traders which swings like this..i saw some trend in JINS also.base seems to be at 17,better to grab if shows good volumes..

sometimes some counters rest in a price level for a while after quick runs-if buying pressure not going to increase or until buying consolidate in a base,and then start the run...
also no heavy idea about JINS,ok.....just express my view Wink

TA could still indicate counter position based on a longer period of time. Chamith seems to have reacted to it, so there must have been some signals prior to the large volumes.

Note to all: Please do not let rumors influence your decision to buy or sell a counter. This forum is meant to share information and that is the only intention of my post. I am neither trying to encourage anyone to buy PCH nor have I ever really analyzed this counter in detail, but am trying to find a reason for the large trading volumes of the past 4 days and am willing to share what I know and hear. Monday and Tuesday we will know whether the trend continues.

There are two promises to implement, BPO center in Jaffna and Data center in Colombo. If they announce one of them there will be some short term uptrend but we have to see their future earninngs and how they succseed in their new businessses. We have to consider quarter by quarter earnings. So far they are not up to the expectations.

Considering all that has happened the last few weeks, this is a possible scenario. If it happens, the rally will be even steeper than what happened to PCH back in January.

I am also confident about PCH. Because increase of price they are doing in a certain pattern. red or green market , price maintain is very good.

I'm not too versed with TA, but if there was/is selling pressure, that to me then shows that someone is/was collecting, and not on a small scale. The last time we saw 4 consecutive days of large volume (1m+) was in early April, when it went from 16.50 to 21.50, only to retrieve back to 19 levels quickly. Maybe this is a similar scenario.

The last higher high means its currently on a expanding triangle pattern..But seeing from April we see a sideways pattern... With that high it has broken many resistances up to 22..
If this doesn't come to 19.30, this could have the potential to go up a little.. but the last high ard 22 was a selling point Wink
