Please read todays article on dailymirror! Its contradicting , article states that NCASL only has appealed to release funds to construction companys which means government has not yet!!! ????

If election announce, this share will  be a rocket..
everybody's portfolio   should have this share..

Apart from the director dealings of 30mn shares, one should be more little skeptical before touching this stock if you are freshly investing, On the short run, true that there is a high possibility of a significant capital gain during the coming election run. 

During the last presidential election, it peaked at Rs. 40 per share from Rs. 20 

Despite the IPO price, if the company is unable to make profits to its full potential then one should be more careful holding the stock for the short term. 

Also to note, the share price was more favorable during the MR regime. 

If the government decided to default on the payments it would definitely impact the share price, currently, we don't exactly know yet if the funds have been utilized or not. 

Anyways good to have in your portfolio, but buy in small quantities and collect, minimize your risks

Now AEL is diversified their business..foreign construction  projects are available..look people's leasing   still below IPO price. and  Banks share prices...why is that ?look PLC  growth..Their profits are improved..but still below IPO..

I am not agree about this statement..look previous scenario MR became as  prime minister  for short term..share price ran from 13 to 16 ..
Think MR government will appoint to country for 5 years  .What  can be happen to AEL..  ''LIKE A JET''

Hope this will be steady at 16-17 level and increse to 20 range by 13th aug.

Strongly agree. The construction sector blue chip AEL share price is expected to zoom from August.

Since we have more time to election and players are already taking positions it looks like even @ 20/- AEL has the potential to give you good returns. Its early to predict a top for this now since the stock is up in heat on speculative ground and the time to the speculative reason is still there I think its ok to collect some more AEL as well . But of course keep provisions for yourself to average out in case if the share face to a major profit taking seen.

Yes. We have more time for the election rally. 
We saw, during last two weeks, AEL was very heated & yesterday and same as today, it was moved to another step and now passed the 18/-
Today, I saw once soon after the announcement of "MOU sign in Pohottuwa", then the massive buy orders created & share price shoot to 18/- plus mark.
At the end of the day totally more than 5 Mn shares were traded, most of from continuous buyers in upside. This volume will helps, AEL to pass the next important Rs.20/- barrier in next week, probably by next Wednesday/Thursday. Also, I guess Rs.20/- will be profit taking point for short term traders and expect few selling between 19.50 - 20.50.
Agreed with EquityChamp AEL should collect & hold in our portfolio's.
Also, when go thru with AEL's Financials, their Net assets are 22/- and they having more Cash plus many short term deposits around 5 Bn in their Balance sheet. EPS always around 2.5 AND thinking more room to move even Rs.30/- plus in strong/long run.

There is a positive correlation between 'Pohottuwa' candidate winning & CSE indices, AND there is a negative correlation between 'Green' candidate winning & CSE indices.
Recent developments in the political scenario points in the direction of a certain 'Pohottuwa' victory which will ensure a bull market at CSE. Not only AEL, KAPI too will be revived, mark my words. 
'RottWeiler' of the UNP will be more than happy to lead the opposition!

Hello EC Happy yo CU after long time, 

AEL will fly like rocket in future, LT it will hit 40+ sure.

This share is moving up on the speculation of
1. Gota will become the next president and construction will boom.
2. Government will settle the outstanding amounts to construction companies.
Be careful at anytime this environment can change.
Lot of election gimmicks will trigger stock market up and downs during preelection period.

Pohottuwa win is a high probable event. Everything in life too is based on probability. There are many who feel they have missed the bus, but in my opinion its still not late! The price will surpass 25/= in August.

It's not a highly probable event. Who ever win will be from a narrow margin.
Things can swing to either sides at last moment
Even both parties have not announced their candidates.
So how can someone say it's highly probable.
Minority votes play a major role in the election.
Don't be too optimistic.
