CSE Today wrote:With the news of AAIC to be
disposed by ACAP, triggered the upward movements of ACAP & AAIC...but there
could be a 3rd party , which also can move up with the news...guess
who...!...it's the buyer..., then lets guess the possible buyers
01. DIST - led by Harry Jayawardene [Continentel Insurance]
DIST have a massive cash balance due to GOV re payment of SLIC investments
02. JINS - led by Prakash Shafter [Janashakthi Insurance]
JINS recently reported a good profits & also the group has some cash
received by the disposal of LAMB
03. HASU - Led by HNB, HASU already with right issue cash & HNB is on the
way for a right issue [HASU -HNB Assurance]
04. VONE - Led by Mr. Dhammika Perera [Valibel One] the Valibel One is a
diversified group with Banking, Finance, Hospitality, Manufacturing etc... the
Group do not have an Insurance arm which could in return bring massive funds
for re investments. With the IPO & PP VONE will have the strength to
finance the buying of AAIC
05. SOFT - Led by Mr. Pathirage, SOFT is also a diversified group with ASIRI
Hospital group, Soft Logic Finance, Ford Motor Agency, National Panasonic
authorized dealership ect ect in their fold and is about to launch the IPO on
9th June. being a fast growing conglomerate we can not decline any interest of
SOFT getting into Insurance Business
06. Imagewise Group - Led by Mr Dilith Jayaweera & Varuni Amunugama,
observing their recenst history of investing in colombo stock market &
acquisition of major stakes of REEF, CLND & PAP...there is very little
possibility for this AAIC deal skip their glove..!
