ECONOMYNEXT - Sri Lanka's Swarnamahal Financial Services Ltd, an affiliate of ETI which is under central bank administration said a proposed investment is still pending approval from the regulator.

The firm said in a stock exchange filing that the investment had not yet come and the central bank had not yet approved the investment, following reports that the deal had been closed.

Central Bank Governor Indrajit Coomaraswamy said last week that regulator was still examining the investor.

The central bank wants to make sure that the money comes through the banking system.
