Sri Lanka's private bus owners who are unable to meet lease payment due to the disruption from the Easter Sunday suicide attacks will get a two month debt moratorium, while outdoor musicians will also get help, Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera said.
Sri Lanka's banks and leasing companies have been issued a circular, over the lease payments by bus owners he said.
Samaraweera said bus owners were having cashflow problems as they were unable to get passengers after Easter Sunday attacks
Artistes who were organizing and performing in outdoor musical shows will also get relief and a loan of up to 500,000 rupees for working capital at 3.46 percent.
People who built Vesal pandols and were unable to sell them will also be helped, he said.
Small hoteliers will also get a loan of up to 500,000 rupees under a program called 'Sancharaka Poddo.'
Large hotels are getting one year debt moratorium, and up to 250 million rupees in working capital credit.
