Curve will not tell the reality. Intelligent and ex
perience investor can see a demolish pattern.most of the times Too optimistic may drive the negative sentiment. I know how it behaves exchanges like CSE. As a matured investor, you should clear your margin and get rest. Dont forget 5 million plus oppostion voters are monitiring the trend and same way some reviews the capacity of finance minister. Im thinking extra ordinary , so 95% , im in profit side in overall. Good luck

I don't think that the Alibaba has enough fund to keep the market on upward trend further and not necessary now after the election.

When there are people selling there are people buying. Both feel they have made the correct decision.

Partially it could because of new cabinet, appointed by the president. Investors lost the confidence

Think the capacity of finance minister, in the same way rethink about his role. Unfortunately I didnt see a qulified people engage with finance ministry during last 30 years in sri lanka.Qualified persons to be elected those who can have some strategical thinking. Just studies other countries , how they have appointed finance ministers.

I think this is it. The market is not going up as most optimistic guys expected. No foreign investor invest in Srilanka via CSE. A lot of negative news going around the world that appointing Rajapaksha brothers as president and Prime ministers. They think Srilanka is like a barbarian country even it is not 100% true.
I can see the only way to keep the market upward trend by dumping EPF money to the market. Even Kumaraswamy said that  May 2018 they are going to invest EPF fund in CSE, EPF didn't purchase a single share in CSE other than participating right Issues.which is manipulation the market by spreading lies.  you can see that analysing EPF portfolio. Currently, a loss of 23 billion incurred to the EPF but who cares innocent peoples money. They will gamble with the fund as they did previously.

Honestly i am still in a hopeful situation didn't sell any of my AEL portfolio, today Mahinda Rajapaksha assigned duties as financial minister so it is still too early to blame the situation, new investors should be in lining in future for Sri Lanka since mahinda government early reputation of successful economy, but my question is how long we can hold these AEL shares at the prices.

My advice is to AEL holders if you have any doubt about the situation just sell half of your lot & let it to go down further more then re-buy from the bottom around 20/= to reduce the average. Next resistant level should be 20/= do not expect to see them going down below 20/=, do not accept a the view of @Teller about the critics of new financial minister because Mahinda is the most successful minister ever in Sri Lanka done a great success for our economy but i accept the recommendations of Teller.

Share is hittable any time here on it may be tomorrow or in a week buy sure so don't try to sell too early just bring down the average price.

Apparently it is not too easy to go up since the released amount of shares are huge by AEL so it should be a giant intervention of a investor.

This should be a fake sell of bulk holders

@100%, agree with Kasun, we should think 5 million plus oppostion voters behaviour as well as international investors behaviour with recent changes.normally FDI and institutional investors are driving the market. How ever as i mentioned earlier 80% of companies are over value in CSE. I use carefully factors to estimate the stock prices. After recent appreaciation of stock prices, there are 86.4% companies are over value . You must immeadiately sell and encash those stocks. I always believe knowledge is money here.GL

As i said earlier, AEL definitely come down below 18. Increasing of cement prices (1 bag, 100 Rupees price hike),some raw material increases, further depreciation rupees give more pressure. Again and again sorry to say that retailers baught over 20 LKR per share will be struggled. Most of retail investors dont see the opportunity and risk due to greedy. Example ,Why i against AEL price above 20 but not Against MGT , because i know the secrets. I put MGT target from 9 to 14.40,
Again revised to 18.20 as secondary target. In same way BPPL, how i predicted. But think why i dont have optimistic scenario against AEL above 18LKR per share???
