If we can attract 100000 tourists per month imagine the amount of money PINS.N would make trough the mandatory Covid insurance scheme($12).

*PINS going to be one of the biggest winners of the revival of tourism 🎉

Insurance becomes mandatory

Increasingly, countries are making it mandatory for visitors to have travel insurance for Covid-19 related medical and hospitalisation costs. Dozens of countries, including Singapore, Israel, Thailand, Costa Rica and Tahiti have introduced this new requirement following the pandemic.

Indians are not welcome by Singapore(as well as Britain) , while Sri Lanka has welcomed 13,547 foreign tourists in September 2021, of which 8,528 were Indians who topped the list of arrivals to the country(60%+). I think this is the right time to remove other restrictions such as the ‘LOCAL COVID INSURANCE and should give the option of choosing a policy by their will, anyway the mandatory travel insurance will be there for a longtime. PINS policy by far cheapest in the region(900 Indian rupees) and easy to access. since there won’t be any major decline of the demand for PINS.

There are 1.42 million Indians visited Singapore in 2019. We need to be proactive going forward to attract most no of those Indians to the country.

Indeed government is backing Pins in a big time. Even SLIC didn’t  consider  for the tourist insurance scheme, it was awarded to Pins.
ETF has increased its stake to 5.2Mn in the recent quarter & on the buy side.
*93% hold by the top 20 shareholders*

Steady collection so far ,Price should adjusted to 9+ PE going forward.
9 months EPS - 4.16, Expected dividend - 3(rough estimate based on the historical dividend pattern)

*Dividend expectation & low liquidity will be the driving factor for PINS*

The regulation has changed in November, now only unvaccinated travelers required to obtain local Covid insurance, fully vaccinated are exempt from mandatory local insurance, However, fully vaccinated travellers should ensure that they have comprehensive travel insurance that will cover health and other expenses related to COVID-19 when traveling to Sri Lanka.
