EU and BOI discuss FDIs

Ambassador of the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Colombo Denis Chaibi along with First Councillor, Head of Political, Trade and Communications Section, Delegation of the EU Thorsten Bargfrede paid a courtesy call on Board of Investment (BOI) Chairman Susantha Ratnayake and Director General Sanjaya Mohottala yesterday.

The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss matters on attracting more Foreign Direct Investments (FDIs) from the European Union and the revival of the EU/Sri Lanka Investor Dialogue, a facilitation forum for existing investors from the European Union. 

The forum was initiated by the Delegation of the European Union to Sri Lanka and the Maldives and European Chamber of Commerce in Colombo, in close collaboration with the BOI in 2014.

Any updates on this?. Especially given EU's concern on import restrictions can it have adverse effect on orders from EU, or negative impact on GSP+ ?
