If you listened to the president's speech yesterday nobody can disagree with what he indicated. First there is the success of handling the 1st wave of the pandemic. The highlight was the pledge to improve the healthcare sector.

Although he could have touched on the transportation sector (atleast the systems) because 80% of COVID19 preventive measures rely on measures taken in passenger and cargo transport sector. He could have easily take credit for projects and the schemes introduced to improve infrastructure for developing and upgrading the highways and irrigation.

Any thoughts on this?

President stated in his video somewhere  5.6min in the speech, he got 6.9mn votes from people to ensure National Security. i stopped listening from there

I still cant accept the Easter bombing. There is no justice done yet for the 300 lives lost. I m sure that we the only Nation defeated terrorist, having  best intelligence and Army, 3rd best LRRP unit in the world by now knows who is the preparators

If we are keeping silence over it purposely then our future is still at risk

I want to add, as usual he had comment just by hinting at the minorities that we were not supportive in fighting the pandemic. I have responded in many other forums that "he claims he is not a typical politician, but it seems he has turned in to one. He managed to turn the tables and make the government the victim here, but the real victims here are all that hold burials as sacred part to their culture in performing final rites. They had nobody to turn to and even the 'Expert committee' had politicized the issue of cremation" What he did was not "addressing the nation" but 'propaganda well organized' to put on a show to the people.

The main problem here is that people have forgotten about his corrupt past starting from using public money for his own benefit (museum for his parents), being a key player in the illegal elephant ring (stealing of elephant calves from the wild sometimes killing their mothers), the murders of Lasantha and other journalists, MIG deal and of course forming bodu bala sena to created anti Muslim sentiments among the general public in 2013-2014 (that's when he began his presidential campaign).
To cover the unpopularity he can incite violence against any minority anytime and not take the blame.
