Hi friends,

I sold most of my loss making stocks, a loss of over Rs.100,000, but i thought i'd get over with it, rather than holding on to them and waiting for those counters to turn green, which i believe is highly unlikely to happen in the next 1-2 years.... so i thought i'd take a chance, absorb the loss, and put my head into some good stocks.... What are your suggestions friendz??? experts in this forum, pls advice.... thanks in advance....

Additional facts
-my portfolio is about half a million...

Without knowing what u sold and have bought how can anyone advice?

Hold on to you cash for few weeks, dont enter any share at the moment.

In the long run still focus on good IPOs.

this is way i do,
go for bargain hunting,i think you know how to do it..

btw mentioning the stock in here will make me loose my competitive advantage,if all go for those stocks...you guys may go over my orders by 0.10 cents and let the bid price go higher,so its a opportunity loss for me ne..

This just my view. Keep an eye on FLCH, MAL, and RICH. They have fallen to quite unbelievable levels. I am not telling you to invest right now. But just keep an eye and enter at the correct time after analysing the shares yourself.

sorry brother, but is this necessary to obtain your suggestions.... once you state your view, i would basically check on it, and then invest (if it is suitable and sensible).... thanks for your response though.. Smile

If u look for general advices then u should read this forum carefully brother.
But be careful there are promoters and manipulators even in here.
Analyse urself and use some common sense.

I'm not expert.I can't say ur right.But It never easy.If Ur selected stocks bring profits It's ok.But How u trust about Stock market ? Specially in Sri Lanka

How to become an expert?
First U'l learn from ur faults. Then U'l learn from others faults.
Compared to ur first investment now u are becoming an expert.
If u learnt a lesson which is an important point for future investment, don't worry about the loss, that is really a investment for ur bright future.
Those who was spoon fed will never learn lessons and they always play fast and loose, and put others also in trouble.
Those who do things, make errs and learn things will become experts in the future.

I have withdrown 70% of my capital and I also believe that bearish market will exist for one year at least.

I did not withdraw anything at a loss, collected few stocks on a medium term basis from profit making PLCs.

If there is no credit to clear , ....not worth selling now. ....selling presure both force selling and panic selling ....is much less now.
