TWOD Could be a winner next week

According to my broker Twod biological value assessment system is not particular given or clearly mention by the accounting standard board. Initially this case was won by Twod and verdict was given favor of Twod. Since case was postponed several time court finally fixed the case for 18th July. There is more than 90% chance for favor of Twod. U can go through cse.lk under twod announcement u can view the history and their final financial report u can see more info.

Hi, I m not that convinced about 90% possibility of getting a decision in favor of TWOD, This is a share which should be trading well over 32-33 under normal cercumstances ( WE all know that It s not the case at the moment with CSE ). Anybody knows where the case really stands ?

FYI : I donot hold any shares of TWOD at the moment

I am not that familiar about TWOD, and clueless about the Court case. From this post and comments , it can be concluded that the Court judgment will result in increasing the share price instantly. Since there are large no. of followers (400 viewers ) , knowledgeable people / Experts in this Forum, can someone briefly explain.,

1. what's this judgment is about.
2. it's impact on s TWOD profitability / balance sheet strength ( and thereby share price)

heyy what liar you are... you think we people at the forum are fools? where is such announcement? i dont think twod can go any further until the case is finalised. But im sure this time also the case would be postponed. I came to know through a reliable source that new judges are coming on the 18th of july so the case would be definitely postponed.
so dont spread such rumors mktgold.

well this has been an interesting discussion with traders waiting for the "magic" court case to be resolved, finally there is some official confirmation on the supreme court website that the hearing on granting of leave to appeal the case S.C. SPL L.A. NO. 42/10 C.A. NO. 323/07 is sceduled for Monday. It says "top of the list" so this may get resolved one or the other.

by these posts i feel like some people have no idea at least what the case is even about,
TWOD won the case some time ago. n after that SLASS appealed against that decision. So on 18th it will be decided if the appeal be taken into consideration or not. I heard that TWOD going to be cross listed in thailand also. Note that TWOD got some plants in thailand also...

Well well TWOD, you are the topic of the year, months, weeks now. So hope you will make all of us smile on Monday.
Touch wood is a company just like all other listed companies at CSE. I cant c anything wrong with their fundamentals as mentioned earlier. if fundamentals are wrong how a company can sustain such a period of time earning good profits.

Its a environment friendly business also, carbon emission is 0, i think. As at 31/03/2011, EPS is around 11 and NAPS is around 50. In top 20 share holders list,there are some local and international banks as well. Public share holding stand around 79.

Earlier, they had another court case filled by an investor, that case had been withdrawn by the plaintiff,according to the twod press release. Ongoing court case also won by the company, now, this is the appeal that filled by the SLASS is proceeding. Im not a leagal expert, but if twod won the first case, its is very luckly to win the appeal as well if not SLASS didnt find any new evidence where they can prove that towd is wrong.

There last right issue had been priced at Rs.60 and one of their directors had purchased close to 1 million shares at around Rs.100. all time high is around 270.

So i considered all above factors before i bought some shares on 15th at Rs.26.40. Already im into profit. Hope court case will not be postponed again and towd will get a favorable .

The Court of Appeal established by Chapter XV of the Constitution is constituted of not less than six and not more than eleven judges. See the Highlighted aria..., SLASS has to appeal against the judgment of Commercial courts & not with TWOD....and prove the judgment was not delivered in par with the existing LAW....! a Little bit difficult tusk to SLASS...!

some say on Mondays cases are not taken but postponed. Is it a true practice?
