Hayleys Energy Services, a logistics provider for the oil and gas industry, said it has got certifications covering quality and environment management systems, occupational health and safety and social accountability.
“Obtaining these accreditations is an important milestone in the evolution of Hayleys Energy Services into an international player in the provision of logistics services for oil and gas exploration projects,” said chief executive Chas Charles, an oil and gas exploration expert.
The globally recognised best practice accreditations were awarded to Hayleys Energy Services after a series of stringent audits carried out by a team of lead auditors from SGS Lanka, a statement said.
"The accreditations will provide a major boost to the company’s bid to further enhance its appeal among discerning international clients who insist on certified compliance in quality, environment, health and safety and accountability," the company said.
The company developed expertise in providing support services for all stages of the exploration process - up to drilling and extraction of oil and gas - by providing logistics services for oil exploration in the Mannar basin, Charles said.
“By leveraging these capabilities in conjunction with the new accreditations, Hayleys Energy Services has the potential to achieve strong growth.”
Hayleys Energy Services has a partnership with Edgo Merap Limited of the UK, a firm in oilfield services with experience of over 50 years.
Hayleys Energy Services said it has provided support for the seismic survey done in the Mannar basin, off the island's north-west coast where Cairn India is to start drilling test wells in August 2011.
These services included providing fuels and bunkering and specialised equipment along wih food for scientists and crew involved in the operation.
