most of shares I bought peak levels.Now all are going down.What should I do?

sell all them & buy low levels
sell all them & buy other shares
hold it for next bull run
sell them & release the cash Crying or Very sad

Be patient few more days. I you see my portfoio you will be surprised cos i'm still alive.
Hopefully something good can happen tommorrow. Anyway dont sell with huge loss.

Guys,

I haven't visited my portfolio for weeks and sure the loss is over 1 Million (My investment is 2.5 Million). No plan to sell at a loss. I still have hope.

Sri Lanka would definitely awaiting a boom. No need to worry. We'd see better financial in future. I am sure investors are reluctant to enter as they are still unaware of the bottom.

But sure will bounce back .......

Don’t get panic & sell. Just wait till August first week & see. Then take a call
Definitely your loss will be lesser than today in August.

I also have been collecting shares for the last 1 year, and have 13% loss from my total investment of 1.472M. Luckily I never bought shares on credit and never blindly followed speculative shares.

BUT, I'm not going to sell at a loss even though I see some posts in forums similar to srilankaequity suggesting to cut loss and have cash in hand.

I try to reduce average by collecting slowly when the shares in my portfolio come to attractive levels.

in the future you can meet the overjoyed buyer and the regretting seller.

careful observers can see some counters slowly stabilize on real investments , there are speculative stocks fluctuate on credit. ...... I shift towards stable stocks...

Another small question.

If we were rushing to buy X @ 120 few months ago,
why we do not like buying the same @ 50 now ?

( If we have the money actually)

It is the human nature. We follow what others do and our mind always extrapolate.

What we can do now is carefully select fairly prices growth stocks targeting the countries progress in next 2-3 years . We always have to go with the country and identify the best sectors.

If someone found a cure for AIDS you have to immediately sell your investment in condom companies and buy hotel rooms. Smile

When AIDS started spreading I heard those shares went up. That is why I thought the reverse.

BTW, best thing will be finding a sure pill to prevent all STDs and list the share in the market.
