Hi need expert comments on NDB. As of now they are trading at less than PBV of 3. They have announced of a 1 for 1 split. Thus if the price is to appreciate to show a PBV of 3 it needs to appreciate to 426 levels. Is there any particular reason for this not to happen?

The 'Deciplined view' at Business Insurance giant Aviva
Aviva’s head of Asian operations discuses its approach to writing business, priorities and challenges in the region

British insurance giant Aviva’s local unit has stood out from the pack due to its resolve to not write unprofitable business. Aviva’s top executive in charge of Asian operations Simon Machell says capital could be better deployed in any one of the groups other businesses instead of writing unprofitable business to gain market share.

The firm’s most profitable operations are still in the UK and Europe. However its Asian operations are maturing fast and expected to start contributing to the group bottom-line during the next few years

Ok that was kinda weird... I had to read the post twise to see whther I was mistaken..

Everybody tries to get the share low when an attractive sub division is on the cards.. this has risen to 390 the next day it was advertised and we can expect this to pass 400 if these sellers have some brains to understand the value of it.. To me NDB is a valued share now and the price level is so gettable.. ;-)

i think its under valued if you consider for long term, because i think when the big projects take place they will actively participate in the long term lending, for which they will be able to show the results also in the long term, i don't about the short term prospects, any way i am looking forward their year end results?

I think impact of warrant is very minimal on NTB prices as number warrants are only 20 millions.
and currently ntb trade at under valued price in my opinion.
