Global shares have dropped sharply for the second day as fears about the eurozone debt crisis intensified.

New York's Dow Jones index was trading more than 3% down, while Frankfurt's Dax and London's FTSE 100 indexes closed almost 3.5% lower.

However, Reuter reported that United States debt crises may not directly hit the usually-insulated CSE, but could affect local corporate earnings and economic growth.

High sell off witnessed in Asia Pacific stock markets..

Investors are withdrawing from markets anticipating world economic crisis. some say world is mad and panic.

So CSE will experience this down turn.. Foreign funds withdrawing.. smart money will enter the market at right time

Quote from bloomberg:

“Asian stocks fell the most since March, extending a global rout, and the region’s bonds rose, while oil, zinc and wheat led a drop in commodities amid concern the U.S. economic recovery is petering out.”

How concerned should we about these world market trends and what could the effect be on the CSE and the coming weeks?

I think we should always keep a track on the world markets. Even though this may not have a direct impact to CSE, it certainly will have an overall detrimental factor on foreigners getting attracted to equity investments globally.
