Bartleet Mallory Stockbrokers (BMS), first off the block with equity research on Softlogic Holdings Ltd.’s Rs. 4 billion IPO, the country’s biggest in six years, is recommending subscription to the offering.

“We expect the group 4-year forward revenue CAGR to be 78.8% while the Profit Attributable for Shareholders to grow by a steeper 181%. The counter trades at an attractive 21.7x PER (Trailing Twelve Month) and a 13.1x forward PER on FY 2012 earnings. We recommend SUBSCRIBE,” the BMS Research team said in its report. Yes, That's true. My adviser from Bartleet Mallory Stockbrokers (BMS) simply explained that they recommend it because the particular company has a potential values and therefore it is a fundamentally strong stock.

Bartleet Brokers seem to have conveniently forgotten to mention that one of their group companies is among top 10 shareholders of Softlogic.

http://forum.srilankaequity.com/t4275-softlogic-ipo-prospectus

Strategic Insurance Brokers holds 3.5 million Softlogic shares, and is part of Bartleet.

I did a study by obtaining views from few members in this forum and as per my requirements, JBS is the best and fits my requirements. The study took about 2 months.

Mainly I looked at their on line software, its features , error free status , stability etc features. Also the positive side on advisors.

The software includes features technical analysis information , MACD , RSI and also the fundamental details. You could select 3 different types of portfolios , the JB portfolio , Day trading Portfolio and portfolio of some other broker/s. which means you could setup the portfolio of shares from your other brokers and monitor them too. I think its great feature.

One page full of information is allocated for CSE, all important information from CSE is given in one page so its time saving. also no need to move to cse.lk slow site to check for announcements.

I understand that the software is developed in-house considering the the requirements of a Sri Lankan investor.

I was also told by one member of this forum that even the MD of the company is contactable for clarifications and he him self is a CFA.

The investment advisers at JB go through a training process of 1-2 years and after that thay study for CFA qualifications.

Another plus factor is that their recommendations are based on fundamentals.

The limit for on-line facility is Rs. 500,000/=.

You could pay them on-line thru Sampath bank or Comm Bank and sold note cheques they could directly transfer to your bank account. This is also a time saving feature.

I recently opened a CDS account with them and will be transferring my shares from old broker soon to this new account.

This set-up fits me for the type of investments I hope to do.

Hope this provides sufficient details to you.

that's true.. I can remember my previous broker asking me for 5M and searching for 10 people to collect 50m for softlogic and promise a good return when comes to the share market. He was thinking I have some good capital due working overseas when i told him that i like to invest in Stock Market. Unfortunately i was not having that capital to spend so i was not interest.

I only looked at the software platform as mentioned above. That suits my requirement.

Agree. The numbers are important as its the basis for buy/sell .

I could have used the better word Software Application. Its the correct word. I looked at the features offered by the software application , such as Graphs , Odd lot trading , Market Announcements etc.

As you use this Forum, you are actually activating set of instructions to do a task. Those set of instructions is part of a large software application.

This is an investment forum and I tried to explain the best way I could. Hope this helps.

I have my account with capital alliance and the scenario is same they push us to buy at the peak telling that the price may go up further and i got caught to couple of instances and what i did was forced them have me a online trade software since they are very reluctant to give CDAX now i do my own and daily visit this site.

Broker only calls me to settle the unsettled balances Laughing

Can you recommend me someone/broker company who has humanity in them?

Are you depending on your broker? to buy / sell or you take your own decisions? I thought of changing the broker / or firm
