Sajeethk Yanne koheda malle pol. Friend there are lot of opportunists at CSE now. First of all do you own study and select a group of shares. they keep a constant record of them, when every they come to your target buying price, grab them. Distinguish your PF as short term, medium, and long. Short term is good for quick cash, but be very causes when you buy, consult some one if you are lack of experiences.

PABC,NTB,SMLL,TFC,EDEN are good medium to long term shares
Rich,Flch,PAP,ECL,EXPO,HVA good for long term

you can add your own to this list and study before make a decision

recent quarterly reports for many companies seem to be not as impressive as 2010 June quarter. I can not figure out what went wrong for many companies.

Plantation sector might recover in the coming quarters. Losts of reasons to drop profits in the last quarter.
1.Drop in tea production
2.Wage hike with arrears
3.Gratuity scheme.

Try this thread friend. There is valuable links there and search the form.

http://forum.srilankaequity.com/t7910-i-m-starting-in-cse-tomorrow

Anyway it is not an easy thing. Some companies use cunning technique to cover their loss.So u should have a sound knowledge with commerce background which I also lack.

Point of my previous post is also emphasizing of uselessness of the advices which say analyse the finacial statement if u do not have good knowledge.
