those are great numbers.

with this DISt should be able to post an EPS or around 12.5-13 for the year. In my opinion that would make DIST worth at least 250. And they're cash rich at the moment.

Yes, Rs 13 is easily possible even with some reduction of profit due nex taxes in 2011.
Why did you sell Mono? Rs 170s is the floating range.

Guess ofcourse you can buy back as it still around Rs 175 and who know might go further down if they is a slide.

Did I miss out on this news? I thought Liquor and Tobacco companies income tax went up to 5% due to budges\t in 2011. Ofcourse when taxes go up liquor prices will go up too. So company will probably will not make a big loss.

They have cash per share of around Rs.24.00

What will HJ do with the cash? He looks cashing in all his investments, what to do?

I'm sure he will not pay dividend!

But, it’s a stable sort of business and should valued 10-12 PER on stable earnings. This may suffice 14*12=168/=

Towards the April New Year period Diversified DIST can produce further improving financials, DIST also supposed to add over 1 billion from the insurance corporation transaction in the near future. Good for the DIST sector. Brinjal prices are also escalating vegetable sector shares can also go up sharply. Anyway the next phase of growth in the stocks exchange will be Banking and Finance sector and the diversified shares.

It is very unfair, tax reductions for the banking and finance sector, higher tax for the DIST and vegetable sector. When they increase tax on DIST consumption goes up it becomes a value investment. Any way people are getting ready to get some DIST shares and watch the world cup. There is a significant advancement in quarter on quarter EPS.
