I would buy NTB ,seylan or NDB instead of Union bank IPO.
seems to me UB is not undervalued at banking sector(but that does not mean it may not up the price) .
I think UB guys just list few shares in to the market to increase its price. they already had massive private placements before the IPO. this is another trick of these companies.. just list small number of shares as IPO and very large number of shares of private placement just before the IPO.

compare with UB IPO price , NTB ,Seylan,NDB banks are way ahead..

In my personal opinion NDB was the most under valued share in the BFI sector. I am may be wrong but i am holding it as a long term investment

Yes NDB is one of a best counter in banking..
their NPL ratio is also quite small.

NDB was stagnant around 350levels,until they announce the split........then it went up and came down again....i think this will run after the split.........i may be wrong

shares like NDB, JKH, SPENCE, SAMPATH, COMM, HAYL to run we need fund managers, institutional investors, or heavy net wealth individual involvement needed. I think they keep out of the market or they purposely keep it at these price in order to increase their holding, because on some shares there was frequent Crossing almost everyday. I am also try to find out the buyer of Spence Shares today, but up to now it was failure

Also don't forget the fact JKH was went to 360 and NDB went to 415 level 5 months ago, but after that period these two came down to 290 & 350 level respectively. I didn't think the investors bought at this level will sell at lower price unless they don't have the holding power or they bought at the expectation of 10% gain next day ( because in that period 10% rule applied for all shares ).

I like to at HNB also to my above list

There is some evidence of institutional buying, there may be many institutions involved in these transactions.

Foreign buying and institutional buying is going on in the Diversified sector and Banking sector shares. Shares like JKH and CFLB could initiate a momentum any time. I keep on collecting share with good fundamentals these days.

Despite all these buying, SFLB still a lil above 400, what could be the possible reason for the down trend.. this sub devision is quite ok to me..
