Retail activity was continuously seen in troubled forestry management company Touchwood Investments on Thursday and it was the most heavily traded stock during the day at the Colombo bourse, analysts said.

Several large sized blocks were traded on-board and the counter reached an intra-day peak of Rs 5 and ended with a gain of 7.1 per cent at Rs 4.50.

Analysts said that after the market closed on Tuesday, there was wide speculation that parliamentarian D_uminda Silva's brother and ABC Radio Chairman Raynor Silva will be appointed to the Touchwood board.

"This partly caused the retail rally today," an analyst said. Last week Touchwood announced changes to its directorate with the appointment of a football administrator amidst some bizarre developments which included the appointment of D_uminda Silva, who is a suspect in a murder case, but the latter resigned the next day. It vl dip n' run again soon.., it touched 5 levels but couldn't hold at 5. Ideally this came down from 13 to 8 n' then with liquidation case to 1.90 if the management issues were sorted it shld return to 13 to 15 levels...., looks very positive as Lotsof foreign plans are being sketched to hold control. On the above note i think father silva might step in however I'm not biased to twod but this shld get back to whr it was. Really a company with approx some 7bn asset (not sure) n' with good management shld go up!

moonwalk, wats ur base for price target 13-15? Jus can mgt issues bring the price level to 13-15? What are the foreign plans? Can enlighten us pls?

For 7bil assets, I'd say those are bogus values to just show up the value.. All these biological assets are not worthy now.. Their trees have not matured as expected too.

Unless some businessmen come and make up a plan to revive TWOD with adding money to pay the woes of land owners, no use at all..

Hehe I'm not the chairman but I wish I was, if the company could restructure all liabilities which they soled at higher yield n' agree with the investors to a reasonable return in that case total liabilities could be controlled I remember they agreed some 3Mn for a 500k investment which had really block growth potential of the company however the asset value can be biological values but company need to find proper market to sell those Whn they mature, in that case the said asset values could be real so few areas to focus n' move forward..., investment that company is working out (LKR200Mn & $21Mn) are negotiated with a foreign party,

I think some insider informations are having with moonwalk.
Yesterday he told to forum that share price to be going up to 5.50. But I also expect downtrend with pending case on today. But not happened.
Seems to be something is happening in underground.

Friend i don't have much shares of TWOD, its around 100.

Still there are some questions still not clear to me

There was a confusion about the present chairman previous post, whatever it may be it seems he is with the company for very long time, so why couldn't he arrange this finance early? Answer could be previous chairman didn't allow it, but sometime back they appointed a consultant to restructure it?

Will the new investors continue to pump the money? Even that happen will the company able make huge change, because even in the case of TFC, subsequent public offer was very successful at 40/= but what happen later?

Will the customers continue to invest in the future, if they reduce the return drastically?

I am not saying anybody not to trade or invest in TWOD, do your own analysis so do what do you think will fit to ur plan do it.

My little advice will be if anybody is doing on credit, be much cautions!!!

The above news I heard from Taprobane stock brokers. Earlier they had close link with Ranor Silva.

If so expect another massive upside rally tomorrow. Will wait & see.

I think something is happening in underground. It seems Silva family is interesting to TWOD. That's why they appoint Yonger silva.

There will be opportunities to make or loose money. But I don't trade with TWOD these days just because of not having enough time to look at the ticker. Traders, don't miss any second, suddenly any up trend can be reversed. You will be in the loosing side when go to wash room and see the ticker again Smile
