Sathosa will once more begin buying locally manufactured canned fish.
Sri Lanka Canners Association President Shiran Fernando told Ceylon FT that a million locally manufactured canned fish from three suppliers including...... from his company would be bought this way.
This was as a consequence of a meeting Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake and Trade and Commerce Minister Rishad Bathiudeen had with local canned fish manufacturers in Colombo last week.
The purchase price by Sathosa has been fixed at Rs 140 a tin of canned fish.
The net weight has been fixed at 425 grams and drained weight,280 grams, per tin of canned fish, for both imported and local supplies.

Yes they have managed to break even during this tough time as well. Europe is their main export market.

Once the Ban is lifted and with a higher USD TESS will do well.

Government will give a rs.15 per one canned fish tin for the manufacture.tess will get this.

Sathosa orders will be utilised by tess.

And eu fish ban also to be removed.

TESS will be a highest return stock.

EU to lift ban on fish export

Minister of Fisheries Mahinda Amaraweera says that the European Union ban on Sri Lankan fish exports will be lifted soon.

Minister Amaraweera said EU officials had informed that Sri Lanka had fulfilled the regulations required to meet European standards required to lift the ban.
A technical evaluation team from the EU arrived in Sri Lanka earlier this month to assess Sri Lanka’s progress in implementing its recommendations on the prevention of illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing practices.
The EU ban took effect in January this year over the failure of the previous administration to prevent local fishermen from violating the international fisheries laws.

A pending Announcement regarding the EU Fish ban lifting will be the key factor specially to Tess Agro as well as the whole market.

current price
Tess .n0000=1.40
Tess .x0000=1.30

with the announcement Tess.n will break 2.00 and will go up 2.50 levels
tess.x0000 will touch 2.20 levels in short term.

So still Tess is a very good buy to get a short term good return.

Heard that SL team has gone to EU discussions.
Decision should be release within few dates.

SL government is having a strong confidence on it.
with this achievement we can have a hope on this government victories.
GSP+,Doller depriciation below 140(doller depriciation can stop the big foreign seeling sply JKH and COMB and that helps to boost the mkt),Increasing foreign reserves.

So analyse and win.

TESS fell down to 90 cents on March 8 and today's price is 1.70/- Better be carefull and new comers it is high risky to enter now.

Hi,
Looking at their past financials they have been making losses since 2013. Any one know when they lost the fish export rights. If it is before 2013 then we can assume this ban has caused them to make losses. Otherwise????

But this is CSE. Sudden interesting is there.It will work on TESS.At the moment TESS.X is trading at 1.60/=

TESS.N should pass 2/= im talking about short term.Not the MT or LT.
