We can't predict this Sri Lankan market,I think the charts and analysis failed to guess this manipulation with a strong  help by SEC and CSE. Do not trust these people, everybody can see the damage they did to this market now. Even though all the companies showed their best results the Sri Lankan market (CSE) in big manipulators hands. The SEC letter fiasco drama witness all. They did it purposely to help them. These people do only harm to the Sri Lankan reputation in international investor community.

look for EPS, NAV, Dividend payment history and of course a bit on sentiment/future potential too.
Typically invest when the prices are low.
There are good counters at reasonable prices.
In my opinion even if the share price come down further, it will be temporary - provided government stands on its policies.  You can do better than Fixed Deposit rate with dividends.

Its not about today. The problems at CSE started a month ago. CSE broke several records in a short duration in 2021. The record that's not broken yet is ATL, and i am sure that too will be broken.Market Crash 2-23 Icon_lol

Same theory... when markets go up in a straight line eventually comes crashing down. I kept my digital wallet in cash at the top so no losses. Will buy at the bottom when I see a turnaround.

CSE... difficult to predict than other markets due to manipulations and external factors. Hoping to see a recovery in March. Let’s see.

Samaritan, we can't predict this Sri Lankan market,I think the charts and analysis failed to guess this manipulation with a strong  help by SEC and CSE. Do not trust these people, everybody can see the damage they did to this market now may be for a big ransom ??? I feel like this. I feel what happened was good for the market and its health. So look at this positively. Now most of the buying is on cash and upward trend can be expected based on results. But at 3bn a few people can get together and push the market also. But I think most of them have learnt a few lessons by now. The value stocks are again at good discounts. dont listen to people who state covid stocks and non covid stocks. There is no such thing. There are businesses. I still feel that Tile, Gloves and Freight businesses will do well for the next 1 year so buying at these prices.

Yes, those companies have adapted and expanded very well to sustain continuous growth. We just have to hope that the macroeconomic conditions are good to bring in more investors to Sri Lanka. ANC and the govt. should act responsibly.

Some times the market may go into green territory tomorrow as a mark of respect to visiting Pakistan PM Imran Khan. To make him say Shabash! Shabash!! Shabash!!!

I have heard Pakistani cricketers saying this in the field which means "well done"!

Hope our players are in the field to make this a reality.

We cant exactly say whether market will up tomorrow or not, but it will eventually up. Most technicals are not working, but still we can predict support and resistance levels. There will be 1 or few down trends and one or two uptrends. If you are in to trading, keep all aside and collect when market is down and realize when its up.
