In directFN TWS, how can we put an order not to match partially but to match as a whole.

What I want is if I put an order to sell 2000 shares, sometimes it match as 2 separate 1000s. How to avoid partial matches in directFN TWS?

What's wrong with partial matching? It gives you a better chance of selling all the shares

But sometimes small value share orders match for like 100 shares parts. So the commission % will be high. when this happens the total order will match part by part with high commission amount resulting to a small profit, sometimes a loss

In CDAX, by filling the Minimum Qty would do the trick. Check whether there is a similar field available in SELL/BUY Order Entry screen.

Roboticfx, not sure why. Are you on CDAX or DIRECT FN? It has worked for me on CDAX.

I don't have Direct FN, but it sounds strange, for one system to work and the other not so. Pls check with the adviser as well.

As all you know when some one put a sell order it will queued. So those queues treated as First in First Out basis. So if you put a 1000 quty sell order and if ur the top in the queue but if the buyer asked for 500 quty it should fill. we cant change that behavior. buy as you said when it happened most times we have to pay more transaction fee than normal coz of some low prices will effect Rs. 5 tax rather than %.

@Kav4 - No. if you put a sell order for 1000 shares and it is executed by 10, 100 shares each transaction, the 1.12% will be the same as if the whole 1000 shares were sold in a single transaction. 1.12 is calculated for the whole amount and not for the partly executed individual parts.
