Well said tjalendran.tjalendran wrote:I think it all sums down to the mentality of all our traders, i see there are many people on different forums asking people what stocks to buy and at what price and at what price to sell with absolutely no background of the market or trading. We cannot expect someone elses' decision or advice to make money, Investment and trading must not be treated like lottery tickets. With the exponential growth of individual investors in the past two years i think the main thing to focus on is proper education and awareness of what you are getting into, else you will be at the complete mercy of the people who manipulate into getting all of your hard earned money, try to read as much as you can, learn and Invest, preferably with long term goals, and maybe a percentage allocated for trading. I could go on like this but i think u get the general idea. Anyway... This is just my opinion... Its just sad to see people losing their money and getting frustrated. Cheers!! and Happy Investing!

This is a major reason, if not the main reason, for the current terrible situation of CSE. People hear stories about lucrative investment opportunities called "shares" and come to CSE without no knowledge and start trading. I meant no disrespect to anyone's knowledge, but this is evident by the number of posts we see like "I bought ABC @ 100, now it's 60. What to do?" etc.
I think this forum can do something about this, at least by asking its members not to panic.

CSE should responsible for this. They hold seminars in every week to introduce the stock market to the people in many areas as well as rural area which are far from towns, but they don't provide background knowledge.
If you have used to watch the programme telecast on Rupavahini on Sunday 10.00 a.m., you could see some people from rural areas call and ask crazy questions. Sometimes I wonder about some of them.
It tells us the size of the mistake done by CSE. Entering these kind of investors into the market makes it a weak place. Many of them become panic sellers and push the market more down when it has went down. We will only be able to see an upward in the market when these people getting out of the market.
What do u say ? Then there will be only fundamentally driven, manipulators free, world's one and only stock market with lot of genuine local and foriegn investers(not traders). Nice dream bro.Max wrote:Until the investors who pray that the manipulators come back, lose their total portfolios, and crappy shares which have no value but are selling for sky high prices, come to their actual price(zero) this market will keep falling.
